Remember The Removal
Each year, a new team of individuals takes on the challenge to honor their families’ struggle to survive along what is known as the Trail of Tears. The annual ride of over 950 miles has many stops along the way, at places of significance, to learn about and connect with the past in meaningful ways.

Citizens greeted the 2024 RTR Team at the Long House for a rest, snacks, a tour from the GWFC’s Monday Club, History talk and a special gift for each of them made by a local artist. We are so happy to have met everyone!
